The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up it can begin automated cleaning with a single button click. You can select a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We like the claim but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. Its mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even remove wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as robot vacuum cleaner it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features you don't often see on robots at this price range. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they can make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it to its base station. The control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4% of debris from our hard-floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops also work well, removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
